Chickens! Livestock! In a 2'x4' box in my well house!

My chickies! The hatchery threw in a random rare breed, but since most of the pictures of chicks on the hatchery website look the same, I guess I'll just have to wait till it grows up to find out what kind it is.

Hi, just a word of wisdom from experience, you should be prepared for rat snakes, & rats, who love baby chicks, there are lots of home remedies. Moth balls around outside of well house(same contents as in products for sale for snake eradicators) hair, sulfur. Just hope you good results, baby chicks are lots of fun. from the MawMaw Malcolm

Thanks for the tip! They're in the studio now, so they should be safe from snakes, but I'll definitely do moth balls and hair around the chicken coop once I move the babies out. They also have a bigger brooder now, so they're not so crowded.

They're so cute! Enjoy them now while they're ... cute. ;) Best of luck on your newest country venture.
